The Cotton Pickers

Based on the hand written memoirs of my great grandmother Ada found in sixteen spiral notebooks up in the attic.  Ada was born and raised in the deep south.  When she turned 21 she agreed to marry a man that she'd never met.  When he arrived at the train station, she thought he was the most handsome man she'd ever seen...except for those "snake eyes".  Soon Ada realizes that his eyes were the window to his soul, and it took nearly two decades before she escaped him for good.

The summer my sixteen year marriage went down in flames, I "stumbled" upon the blog of a handsome geology student named Dozer.  His stories about the girl with the tourmaline eyes, weaving in and out of the memoir of my painful divorce, creates a love story that could never be made up.
